How to fix a non-cold Air Conditioner

Overcoming the AC is not cold is certainly not an easy job. But that does not mean it can not be done. Anyone can do this job, as long as they have enough AC knowledge. Therefore, then through this short article I will try to share knowledge with my friends all about how to take steps if we find the problems that occur in AC. Why isn't the air conditioner cold? The air conditioner in the house is on, what is the cause? More or less like those questions. There are many factors that cause the AC to be damaged, but here I will try to convey the cause of the non-cold AC which is common in the field. So that all my friends are not confused and to make it easier to practice, then the following tips to overcome the cold air conditioner will not peel in accordance with the chronology of the problem.

Okay, just don't need to make small talk, let us consider the following review.

Steps to Overcome the AC Not Cold

AC is on, but not cold

In this case I make sure that the air conditioner is on, both indoors and outdoors, but does not emit cold air at all. Problems like this are usually caused by dirty AC, and also the freon pressure runs out (there may be a leak). The step that you can do is.

1. Dirty AC may not have been in service for a long time

Check whether the air conditioner is dirty, both the indoor evaporator and the outdoor condenser whether there is enough dust. So that the cold can not spread throughout the room. If it's dirty, it's better to service / wash if you can do it yourself. If you can't, you can call a professional air conditioner technician or an air conditioner service handy.

2. Freon pressure is less / exhausted

If it turns out the AC is clean but not cold, the second step you can do is check the Freon gas pressure. Please put your Manifold on nepel to fill in the freon on the outdoor unit. See if there is still pressure or run out until ZERO. If there is still pressure, it might just be lacking. and this is arguably fair. The reason could be from subtle leaks which may be difficult to find the leak, can also be from sagging noodles.

The solution, please tighten all the bolt nepel, then add freon pressure with the same type of freon on the AC. Which of course must be in accordance with the maximum ampere limit (power) of the AC compressor engine. Meanwhile, if the needle on the manifold shows the ZERO number, it means the freon pressure runs out. This is caused by a leak, this can happen to the indoor evaporator, outdoor condenser, installation pipe, nepel pipe connection to the indoor, or nepel that is on outdoor.

The steps you can do are:

Freon refill to full, usually 80-90 PSI, and 125 PSI for AC Inverters. Then open the indoor and outdoor bodies, don't forget to also open the Amarflex AC pipe wrapper. Take a sponge that is given soap so there is foam. Then apply foam to all copper pipes and also the condenser or outdoor. Look closely to see if there is an air bubble or olie in the pipe, evaporator, or condenser. If there is an air bubble or olie means there is a point where the freon leaks.

Indoor AC Is On, But Outdoor Is Off

Cases like this most often occur in the field, the steps to deal with the AC is not cold like this are:

1. Check the Remote Control Mode

Make sure the mode on the remote is in the asterisk (*) or Cool position. Do not on Dry mode, because in this mode it is only to turn on the FAN motor and the Outdoor unit does not get electric current, whereas if in star mode (*) or cool, it is to turn on the FAN fan and also the compressor engine.

2. Check the AC Thermistor on the Indoor unit

The setting on the remote control is correct, but the outdoor unit is not on. Now try to check the AC Thermistor buddy, is it functioning properly. This tool serves as an automatic so that the compressor can stundby after the room temperature reaches a temperature in accordance with what we set on the remote. In this case I have discussed in the article the function of the thermistor on the AC, my friend can read and learn in the article.

3. Check the AC Capacitors on the Outdoor unit

Problems like this are usually marked by outdoor life, but only the fan is spinning. Usually this occurs damage to the capacitor, with a marked marked bump on the top of the capacitor. To overcome the not cold AC like this I have also explained in the article the understanding and function of AC capacitors, you can read there.

4. Ampere Compressor exceeds maximum limit

The sign is almost the same as the damage that occurs in the capacitor, if you have checked the capacitor is good, or replace it with a larger size, but the machine still lifts, or it can light up but the sound of the engine is rough, you can check the amperes by using a Clamp Meter (Tang Ampere) .

The trick is to pin the Tang Ampere clamp jaw between the two cables (-) and cable (+) on the cable shipment outside. Do not forget to position the Clamp Meter switch in the Ampere Meter position (Usually written the letter A), if the numbers on the Clamp Ampere indicate the number exceeds the Current limit (A) contained in the AC label, then the compressor has experienced the name High Ampere (Weak Compressor ). The solution may be, friend, it's time to replace the new air conditioner. That is a problem that often occurs in air conditioners, causing the air conditioner not to cool, and maybe I will update again at another time.

Hopefully this article on how to deal with cold air-conditioning can help everyone, if there is something unclear, you can ask the comments below. Or maybe my friend wants to add it, so we study together here. Don't forget to help share with your social media friends if this article is useful.
